Did you know...

The "rich" spend up to 6 hours a month managing their finances? How much time to you spend? There is a direct correlation with how much money you have in the bank (net worth) & how much time you spend managing your finances. Spend more time managing your expenses and soon you'll understand why.

Rolleyes  RE: Did you know...

Hmm, maybe that's my problem, I don't have a budget, and I don't balance my checkbook. I just check my online balance once in a while and if there is money I'm good. I guess it would be a good idea to have a budget so I know where my money goes. Especially my wife's shopping, whoa, I could retire on that alone! Thanks for the tip.Rolleyes

RE: Did you know...

Yes, thank you that's my point exactly. Most people think, well they spend 6 hours on their money because they have money to count. When in reality you already spend 1 hour a month just checking your balances online. If you spent another 1 hour monthly on your budget, tracking, and making sure it is accurate, and where you are going over, you'd be amazed at the difference it would make.

My wife now hates to spend money because she knows I'll ask questions, so it cuts our expenses! I'm not suggesting we all have to spend 6 hours a month on finances to get rich, but increase the time you spend now, you'll love the results, so you'll spend more, and more time planning your future, and less time spending, and trying to catch up.

It's like anything else, if you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.
