Whats difference between debt consolidation loan and home equity loan?

I consider Not in most cases.

So,please share your opinion here..

As a person who is very familiar to mortgage loan, I know some difference when it comes to debt consolidation loan and home equity loan. Debt consolidation can simply be from a number of unsecured loans into another unsecured loan. While home equity loan is a revolving credit loan where you can use your house as collateral.
